Drew Hinton, President/CEO

Drew is a seasoned safety and medical professional with 15 years of progressive experience in occupational health and safety. His previous experience includes 12 years as a career Firefighter/EMT/HazMat Officer in Louisville, KY, Construction Safety and Health Contractor for the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), EMT for the Kentucky Dept. of Public Health’s (KDPH) Medical Reserve Corps. (MRC), and various senior-level EHS positions for organizations across the United States.

He currently holds a Ph.D. in Occupational Health and Safety from Capitol Technology University, where he also served as an Adjunct Professor. Drew has served on the Occupational Safety and Health Advisory Boards at both Capitol Technology University and Columbia Southern University. He was named one of HSE People’s Top Health and Safety Influencers of 2021, and was named to Marquis Who’s Who in America for his outstanding work and leadership in occupational and public safety.

His areas of expertise include medical, hazardous materials, confined space entry/rescue, hearing conservation, fall protection, and emergency preparedness and response.

Drew has previously served on the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management’s (IHMM) Nominations Committee, IHMM HazMat Society’s (HMS) Training and Education Committee, NIOSH NORA Hearing Loss Prevention Cross-Sector Council, NIOSH NORA Construction Sector Council, and NIOSH COVID-19 in Construction Workgroup.

Sammy Stotts

Sammy Stotts, Safety Specialist

Sammy has worked in the emergency medical services (EMS) and public safety field for over 20 years. Sammy is currently licensed as a Paramedic and holds numerous professional certifications, including:


John Karshner, Safety Specialist

John worked in the public service field Texas for 10 years, serving as Firefighter/Paramedic in the Houston area. He received a Dedicated Service Award in 2011.

In addition, John served as an instructor for a specialized safety/rescue training and consulting company in Deer Park, TX for 5 years where he instructed students from municipal and industrial sectors in Emergency Care Attendant (ECA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, Fire Suppression, HazMat, Industrial Rescue, and other disciplines of emergency planning and response.

John is also an Instructor/Trainer for the American Red Cross, where he instructed various courses across Kentucky and Tennessee for lay providers, healthcare professionals, and instructor certifications for CPR, AED, First Aid, and Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs). During his time with the ARC, he received the American Red Cross Lifesaving Instructor Award.
